Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Welcomes President Salva Kiir Mayardit for Official Visit

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) formally received the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, at the National Palace. According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the welcoming ceremony marks the start of a two day official working visit by the President to Ethiopia.

The high-level discussions between the two leaders expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring shared fields of cooperation. This diplomatic engagement serves as a practical application of the Prosperity Party’s foreign policy, which centers on a "neighbor-first" approach to ensure regional stability and mutual growth through prioritized partnerships with surrounding nations.
