Security and intelligence institutions are among the primary organizations that have enabled our country, Ethiopia, to remain impregnable to enemies near and far. By ensuring these national institutions are modernized and capable of creating a solid footing within the rapidly shifting global balance of power, they continue to protect the nation's survival, security, and dignity.

To achieve this critical national mission which must never be overlooked fully and reliably, these institutions have been strengthened in terms of human resources, logistics, technology, and their commitment to the public. This is why, during the national reform process, these pillars of national survival were prioritized for continuous development.

As one of these institutions, the Ethiopian Air Force has undergone numerous reforms fitting for Ethiopia and has been actively defending the country's sovereignty. Our Air Force, strengthened through reform and tested in action, operates on the principle of institutional neutrality. It serves as a reliable partner in the national reform journey, supporting the vision of ensuring universal prosperity the long-standing aspiration of the people.

The celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Ethiopian Air Force combines the institution's veteran legacy with its current elite status and future progress. Beyond instilling confidence and pride in citizens regarding their country's institutional capacity, it sends a proper message that the conspiracies of enemies near and far who attempt to provoke Ethiopia are futile wishes that will not succeed. The institution’s motto, "The Sky is Ours," has been proven to be a living national vision.

In light of our country's desire for transformation, the reform of these institutions will continue to be strengthened, intertwining with the overall national vision for development and prosperity. This synergy will be directed to play a vital role in nation-building. Beyond enabling our country to break free from the cycle of invasion and conflict and deterring war from afar, this capacity contributes significantly to ensuring that Ethiopia’s prosperity is inevitable.
