Prosperity Party and China Communist Party (CPC) Host High-Level Seminar on Governance and Strategic Planning

The Prosperity Party and the Chinese Communist Party held a high-level briefing seminar at the Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa to discuss governance modernization and strategic planning for national development. The seminar focused on the exchange of experiences between the two parties and the implementation of long-term strategic goals to ensure sustainable growth and institutional strength.

H.E. Bikila Hurissa, PhD, Minister and Head of Prosperity Party Public & International Relations, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the party's commitment to building a resilient democratic system and modernizing governance. He noted that the ongoing efforts under the Medemer philosophy are designed to create a synergy between national development and regional integration. Dr. Bikila highlighted that as Ethiopia approaches its 7th National Election, the party is dedicated to fostering a political culture that ensures inclusive prosperity and strengthens the country's role as a regional anchor.

H.E. Sun Mingxi Minister, DCM of Chinese Embassy shared detailed insights into the newly adopted 15th Five-Year Plan of China. He explained how the plan prioritizes high-quality development and the cultivation of new qualitative productive forces to drive economic modernization. The Minister reaffirmed China's support for Ethiopia’s development journey, stating that the all-weather strategic partnership between the two nations serves as a successful model for South-South cooperation and shared global growth.

Mr. Nebiyu Sihul, Director General of the Prosperity Party International Relations, delivered a presentation on "Political Organization, Strategic Planning, and the Electoral Process in Contemporary Governance in Ethiopia." In his address, he detailed the structural evolution of the Prosperity Party and its shift toward a more streamlined, merit-based political organization. Mr. Nebiyu emphasized that strategic planning is the backbone of the party's transition, ensuring that every administrative level is aligned with the national reform agenda.
